Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Be at least 18 years of age; to be of the masculine gender; have participated in at least three sessions of physical activity per week, on average, in the month leading up to the start of the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Use of medications that could potentially interfere with the study results; smokers; participants who answered "yes" to any question on the physical activity readiness questionnaire

It is expected to find an improvement in muscle oxidative capacity in the vastus lateralis muscle, assessed by the intermittent ischemia procedure measured by near-infrared spectroscopy with a similar increase in magnitude between the moderate-intensity continuous and high-intensity interval training interventions, but without improvements in the control period. Data collected one week before the intervention, two and four weeks of intervention and one week after the intervention;It is expected to find an improvement in muscle oxidative capacity in the rectus femoris muscle, assessed by the intermittent ischemia procedure measured by near-infrared spectroscopy with a greater increase in magnitude during high-intensity interval training than during moderate-intensity continuous training and the control period. Data collected one week before the intervention, two and four weeks of intervention and one week after the intervention;It is expected to find an improvement in maximum oxygen consumption, assessed during an incremental cycling load ergospirometry test with a similar increase in magnitude between the moderate-intensity continuous and high-intensity interval training interventions, but without improvements in the control period.
