Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 50 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Informed Consent Term. Both sexes. Age between 18-50 years. History of ankle sprain injury. Score below 17 on the CAIT questionnaire. Body mass less than 25%.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Disabling pain in any joint of the lower limb including the ankle. They had already undergone surgery on the lower limb. History of lower limb fracture. That they were allergic to the components of the different types of bandage. Any other contraindication to physical exercise.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome: Decreased pain. Evaluation instrument: visual analogue scale of pain. The volunteer was asked to score with the level of before and after technique. On the two days of study.;Observed foci; Data already tabulated for pain. No significant difference between groups. The symptom pain both intra and inter groups, has not had significant difference. 1- Intra and inter-group comparisons of pain measured by VAS in the lower limb with chronic ankle instability. Statistical test used: Intra-group = Friedman test; Inter-groups = Kruskal-Wallis test.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome: improvement of functional performance. Functional test instrument: Square hop test (agility), Y Balance Test, Standing Heel Rise Test (Resistance). Used before and after technique, on both days of the study.;Observed outcomes; Data already tabulated. There was a functional improvement, only in the agility aspect measured by the Square Hop Test. The others had no improvement in performance, with no significant difference. 1- Intra- and inter-group comparisons of the anterior, posterolateral and posteromedial ranges evaluated by the Y Balance Test in the lower limb with chronic ankle instability.
