13 patients who underwent surgery to correct femur fracture and received it to shorten fasting. The abbreviation will be performed with supplementation of whey protein (10g) and maltodextrin (12.5%),

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Greater than 65 years; Proximal Femur Fracture

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Under 65 years; Diabetes; Chronic Kidney Failure Pathological fracture; Infection; Carbohydrate and / or protein rich drink intolerance; Preoperative fasting time greater than 3 hours

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a reduction in insulin resistance in the group with abbreviation for fasting through the Homa IR method from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in the pre and post-intervention measurements;It is expected to find a reduction in thirst in the abbreviation group for fasting through direct questioning from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in the pre- and post-intervention measurements

It is expected to find a reduction in the length of hospital stay in the abbreviated fasting group by counting days hospitalized from hospitalization to discharge from the finding of a variation of at least 5% in the pre and post-intervention measurements;It is expected to find a reduction in walking time in the abbreviated fasting group through outpatient follow-up for 6 months, identifying the time of walking with or without support from the finding of a variation of at least 5% in the pre and post-intervention measurements
