Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Individuals of both sexes, aged 18 years or older, who presented clinical signs of fibromyalgia according to the 2016 American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria, which consist of pain in at least four of the five regions grouped according to the questionnaire, presence of symptoms for at least three months, Widespread Pain Index (WPI) greater than or equal to seven and Symptom Severity Scale (SSS) greater than or equal to 5, or WPI of four to six and SSS greater than or equal to nine
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Individuals with physical disabilities that prevent them from performing physical exercise; cognitive and/or intellectual deficits; hospitalization, or bedridden status, or who have any condition that restricts them to bed; coagulation problems; sensitivity to metal (acupuncture needles); pregnancy; suspected, treated, or post-treatment of oncological diseases; refusal for any reason to have needles applied

| The study aims to evaluate the effects of acupuncture on pain, functionality, and health-related quality of life in individuals diagnosed with fibromyalgia, as assessed by the Visual Analogue Scale for Pain (VAS), the Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQ), and physical tests applied in the study.
