Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: to be male or female; to be over 18 years old; to have attended a consultation at the Basic Health Unit (BHU); to have sufficient proficiency in the Portuguese language to understand the interviewer’s questions; to have a score equal to or greater than 11 on the simplified 6-item State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-S6); to be available for follow-up

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: undergoing treatment for problems related to alcohol use and/or other mental disorders; patients who show noticeable signs of mental confusion or intoxication by psychoactive substances during the phone call; the hearing impaired; patients who refuse to receive the intervention and/or follow-up
