Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Volunteers with an age between 30 and 60 years; be classified as sedentary or insufficiently active according to the international physical activity questionnaire; clinical diagnosis of fibromyalgia according to the American College of Rheumatology criteria

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: tobacco usage; any kind of bone or muscle injury that prevent to perform the exercise tests; any restriction related to caffeine intake or physical exercise practice

Expected outcome 1. A reduction of 5% is expected in the rating of perceived exertion and pain in the caffeine condition measured every 5 minutes during the 30 minutes of cycling exercise using a scale.;Expected outcome 2. An increase of 20 kPa is expected in the pressure pain thresholds measured with an algometer at the vastus lateralis muscle before the ingestion of capsule, before the beginning of exercise, after 15 minutes of exercise and after exercise cessation in the caffeine condition.;Expected outcome 3. An increase is expected in the voluntary activation level measured using the twitch interpolation technique before the ingestion of caffeine, before the beginning of exercise, after 15 minutes of exercise and after exercise cessation in the caffeine condition.;Expected outcome 4. An increase is expected in the evoked quadriceps strength measured using the twitch interpolation technique before the ingestion of caffeine, before the beginning of exercise, after 15 minutes of exercise and after exercise cessation in the caffeine condition.;Expected outcome 5. A reduction of 5% is expected in the level of muscle recruitment during the 30 minutes of cycling exercise measured using electromyography signal analysis.;Expected outcome 6. A reduction of 5% is expected in the level of oxygen consumption measured using a metabolic cart during the 30 minutes of exercise in the caffeine condition.
