Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Diabetes mellitus diagnosis for at least five years; be aged between 20 and 59anos ; present albuminuria values between 30 - 300 mg or proteinuria between 150 - 500mg.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Urinary tract infection; cardiac decompensation; hyperthyroidism ; fever for at least three days; liver disease ; menopausal women and hormone treatment ; pregnant and lactating women .
