The sample (n = 42) selected for research according to the inclusion criteria will receive a kit containing a specific toothbrush for totai prostheses, a traditional dental brush of soft bristles for
B. Dettol Solution: the prostheses will be immersed in Dettol liquid soap at the 10-fold concentration found in the MIC (0.39%)
C. Lifebuoy solution: the prostheses will be immersed in Lifebuoy liquid soap in the concentration of 10 times found in the MIC (0.78%)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The tested solutions of Dettol and Lifebuoy should be effective in controlling the biofilm present in Total Protests, with similar effect to the positive control group Hypoclotitis of sodium. The PBS group should have no effect on the increase or decrease in the amount of Biofilm present in the total prostheses.;Using the method of counting colony forming units, the results showed that the 0.5% sodium hypochlorite group was able to reduce more than 3 logs of microorganisms for all patients, demonstrating its high antifungal efficacy for the species Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis. However, the PBS group (negative control) did not present a significant difference after the interventions. Regarding the experimental groups, both liquid soaps (Dettol and Lifebuoy) were effective in reducing the two types of microorganisms isolated from the internal base of the volunteers' total dentures. In the case of C. albicans, the solutions had the capacity to clear the microorganisms count or reduce in 3 logs of CFU / mL. For Candida tropicalis, Tukey's post-test result when the groups were crossed with each other, it can be observed that the values ??of the HS group and the PBS group have a statistically significant difference (p <0.05), it is also possible to observe a significant difference between the PBS control group and the SD and SL soap groups. When comparing the HS, SD and SL groups, no significant difference was observed, proving that all three are equally effective in controlling Candida tropicalis.
