Age
18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study sample will be composed of patients attended at the outpatient clinic diagnosed with chronic non-specific back pain of both sexes aged 18-65 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who have undergone surgery in the spine; who are severely obese; pregnant; or who present with disabling pain to practice exercises.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The expected primary outcome 1 is that the eight-week exercises program improves the quality of life and function of patients with non-specific chronic low back pain, measured using the validated EQ-5D and Oswestry questionnaires;The primary endpoint found 1 demonstrated that the eight-week exercise program was effective for improving quality of life and function, results obtained using the validated EQ-5D and Oswestry questionnaires. The differences between the pre and post intervention scores were significant.

The expected secondary outcomes 1 are to verify if there are differences between a bodybuilding program or functional exercises for the treatment of non-specific chronic low back pain in relation to quality of life, function, flexibility, abdominal strength and percentage of abdominal fat.;The secondary outcomes found 2 showed superiority for functional exercises in quality of life and function in the treatment of non-specific chronic low back pain. Regarding flexibility, bodybuilding and functional exercises did not present significant differences. Bodybuilding was more efficient for increasing abdominal strength and decreasing the percentage of abdominal fat.
