Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Greater masticatory efficiency (at least 50% higher) in the experimental group than in the control group, 3 months after the use of the new prostheses, verified by the Median Particle Diameter, using the granulometric analysis method. ;Quality of life, evaluated by OHIP-Edent, higher in the test group. For this, OHIP-Edent scores are expected to be at least 50% lower in this group 3 months after the use of the new prostheses.;Highest level of satisfaction in the test group, evaluated by a questionnaire with items related to chewing, comfort, phonation, retention and adaptation. The difference is expected to be at least 40% after 3 months with the new prostheses.;Elders from the experimental group with a better nutritional status than the control group, through the Mini Nutritional Assessment Short Form (MNA-SF®). It is expected a 50% increase in the Form score, which indicates an improvement in nutritional status. The elders will be evaluated 3 months after receiving the new prostheses.
