Interventions

This is a randomized, blinded crossover clinical trial consisting of two interventions: 1) capsules containing 6 g of hydrolyzed (processed) jaboticaba peel and seed powder
2) daily probiotic supplementation for eight weeks, followed by the ingestion of capsules containing 6 g of non-hydrolyzed (unprocessed) jaboticaba peel and seed powder. Initially, the sample size was

Age
20 Years to 49 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy participants; men and women; body mass index between 18.50 kg/m2 and 24.99 kg/m2 and 30.00 kg/m2 and 34.99 kg/m2; age between 20 and 49 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants who are illiterate; participants who have been on a weight-loss diet in the last three months; participants who report food allergies; participants who report liver and intestinal diseases; participants who report lactose intolerance; smokers; alcoholics; pregnant or breastfeeding women; participants who have difficulty swallowing capsules; recent and/or routine use of medications, supplements, prebiotics, and antibiotics (last three months)
