Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| It is expected to find differences in the results of ECGs from the comparison between two different techniques in each participant: correct (according to the guidelines and main references) x an incorrect technique (observed in practice from the confusion between the position of the electrodes of the leads V1 and V2 in the recommended intercostal spaces - 4th intercostal space - and in cardiac auscultation spaces - 2nd intercostal space). The applied methodology will be done through the use of two pre-formulated protocols (incorrect technique versus incorrect technique), and the order of accomplishment of each one of the techniques will occur from a randomization table, being informed by a study collaborator who does not participate in the exams, and ECG collaborators are not allowed access to the table | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| No statistically significant differences were observed between the data obtained between protocol 1, of the technique guided by the current existing references, and protocol 2, created from the observation of the incorrect application of the electrodes in cardiac auscultation foci. The exception was the variable of the presence of a negative P wave in V1, where a statistically significant difference was observed in the comparison between the two protocols, with a P value of 0.003. | — |
