Incidence of paresthesia of the inferior alveolar nerve after extraction of lower third molars and tomographic evaluation of the distance between these teeth and the mandibular canal

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Being pregnant; fall into the ASA III, ASA IV, ASA V or ASA VI groups, according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists; present elements 38 and / or 48 associated with one or more pathologies; be allergic to dipyrone; be allergic to nimesulide; be allergic to both amoxicillin and clindamycin; present sensory alteration of the inferior alveolar nerve in the preoperative period.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: Evaluate the incidence of paresthesia of the lower alveolar nerve after extraction of the included lower third molars, using the standard sensory analysis protocol (from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Illinois School of Dentistry, IL, USA).;Expected outcome 2: Evaluate the closest distance between the included lower third molars and the cortical of the mandibular canal, using a cone beam computed tomography.
