The volunteers will be randomly assigned to the procedures: Simulated Photobiomodulation Group - 14 women submitted to muscular strengthening associated with simulated photobiomodulation at the beginn

Female

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women who are postmenopausal for at least one year; who are sedentary in the last six months prior to the study; do not undergo any type of hormone replacement therapy; they must submit a medical report attesting physical fitness to the practice of a resistance training program.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: To present uncontrolled diabetes mellitus; neurological deficits; peripheral neuropathies or musculoskeletal impairments that make it impossible to perform the proposed exercises; women who practice frequent physical activity; who have a diagnosis of cancer, fibromyalgia, congestive heart failure, severe arrhythmia, uncontrolled hypertension.

MeasureTime frame
Increase in the values of maximum load verified by the test of 1 repetition maximum (1RM) for the exercise leg press, from the observation of a variation of 20% in the pre and post intervention measurements.
