Age
7 Years to 12 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Be 7 or 11 years old; Present posterior crossbite (uni or bilateral) and / or atresic palate (ogival) Present moderate to high risk of airway compromise assessed through questionnaire (Sleep Disorder Scale in children).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with chromosomal syndromes, acute or chronic neuromuscular disease and previous history of any type of orthodontic and / or surgical treatment.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a reduced risk of developing Sleep Respiratory Disturbance verified through application and re-application of specific questionnaire (ESDC). We will expect by reducing the questionnaire scores a decrease in the risk rating for developing Sleep Respiratory Disorders

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is hoped to find an improvement in the quality of life through the application and re-application of a specific questionnaire. We will expect an improvement in quality of life through the reduction of the questionnaire scores (OSA-18).
