Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Individuals over 18 years old; gummy smile caused by altered passive eruption or by improper positioning of gingival zeniths in the anterior region of the maxilla or mandible; having at least six teeth affected by the gummy smile; probing bleeding index less than 10%
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Individuals with indications for gingivectomy/plasty; etiologies of gingival alterations indicating this type of surgery; patients with drug-induced gingival enlargement; patients with aesthetic restorations; orthodontic appliance users; those presenting active periodontal disease; smokers; pregnant or lactating women; individuals allergic to the medications prescribed in the study; patients with systemic diseases that may interfere with healing or periodontal health (such as diabetes, blood dyscrasias, among others)
