Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals of both genders aged 18 years or older; good general and oral health; anterior teeth free of caries lesions, restorations, and endodontic treatment; signed Informed Consent Form; for the group with a history of teeth whitening, the last treatment performed at least 12 months ago, confirmed by self-report and, whenever possible, by clinical record.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Use of dental prostheses; presence of visible cracks in the dental enamel; severe tooth discoloration; pregnancy; lactation; pre-existing dental hypersensitivity; use of anti-inflammatory or analgesic medications.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate and compare the whitening efficacy between patients with and without a prior history of dental whitening, using objective methods of color analysis.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate and compare the whitening efficacy between patients with and without a prior history of dental whitening, using subjective methods of color analysis.;To compare the absolute risk and intensity of tooth sensitivity between patients with and without a prior history of teeth whitening.;To compare the absolute risk and intensity of gingival irritation between patients with and without a prior history of teeth whitening.;To evaluate patients' aesthetic perception after whitening treatment, using a specific self-assessment questionnaire on dental appearance.
