Participants will be submitted to an initial and final evaluation, two days before and two days after the intervention. An anamnesis, 1 repetition maximum (1RM) test, handgrip and lateral pinch streng
Group EFR: 15 subjects will perform 10 series of 6 repetitions of wrist extension exercise with 30% 1RM load associated with BFR
Group FFR: 15 subjects will perform 10 series of 6 repetitions of finger flexion exercise with 30% 1-RM load associated with BFR. The participants will have a rest interval of 1 minute between series,

Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 25 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Both sexes; with age between 18 and 35 years old; students from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC, Campus Araranguá. There will be selected only the participants that are apt to perform the proposed tasks.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with a forearm injury that may interfere with the muscle integrity; subjects with recent fractures in wrist and finger regions; subjects with upper limb pain for any reason. Participants with obesity, hypertension, cardiopathy; individuals with cognitive deficits; workes with manual tasks; participants that perform regular physical activity; and participants using medications that may interfere with final results of the research.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Increase in the handgrip and lateral pinch strength, measured by dynamometry, after the six weeks of intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Increase in the muscle activation of wrist extensors, evaluated through superficial electromyography, after the six weeks of intervention.
