Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 18-65 years; diagnosis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy; ability to walk independently without equipment or devices.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Amputation of any part of the foot; ankle-brachial index < 0.9.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that pain and symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy will improve through treatment with photobiomodulation, based on a decrease in the painDETEC scale score, which assesses pain.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that the perception of stress related to diabetes mellitus will improve through photobiomodulation treatment, based on a decrease in the score on the Diabetes Distress Scale, which assesses the stress caused by the disease.
