Age
14 Years to 17 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All high schools in the state public network in the municipality of Rio Grande will be included in the Health Education Program; schoolchildren of both sexes aged between 14 and 17 years old and duly enrolled; first year high school students

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Students who have physical and or cognitive limitations that prevent them from completing the self-administered questionnaires and performing the physical assessments will be excluded; students who are in the gestational period or who are breastfeeding; schoolchildren outside the age group of 14 to 17 years; students who do not reach a minimum attendance of fifty percent in the activities proposed by the Health Education Program

Primary Outcome 1 The intervention of the Health Education Program is expected to improve the pattern of physical activity and food consumption, through the triaxial accelerometer protocols, the 2019 PeNSE questionnaire and the consumption of healthy and unhealthy foods

Secondary outcome 1 The intervention is expected to increase the frequency of consumption of fresh and minimally processed foods and reduce the frequency of consumption of processed and ultra-processed foods, through the Transtheoretical Model of Behavior Change;Secondary Outcome 2 The intervention is expected to positively modify body image and behavior in relation to weight, through assessments of waist circumference, waist circumference/height ratio, body mass index (BMI), fat percentage, test handgrip strength, body image, weight behavior and extreme weight behaviors
