Group Duloxetine: 24 participants with knee osteoarthritis will receive orientation for home-based physical activity to be performed at least three times per week for 30 minutes and 1 capsule of dulox

40 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Osteoarthritis; Pain>7 (visual analog scale); Low/moderate physical performance

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Contra-indications to study's interventions; Inability to walk

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate an increase on physical performance by Short Physical Performance Battery in 12 weeks, by observing a variation of at least 0.8 between pre and post-intervention measures.

Muscle mass assessed by appendicular skeletal muscle mass index on dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry ;Muscle strength assessed by maximal isometric voluntary contraction on knee extensor chair
