Age
18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults aged between 18 and 65 years of both genders with preserved comprehension capacity, literate, must sign the informed consent form before data collection and have typical and/or atypical symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease with results of upper digestive endoscopy, esophageal manometry and prolonged pH monitoring.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Adults with diagnosed psychiatric illness, neurological disease, neoplasms, patients with cognitive impairment, illiterate patients and patients with severe visual impairment.

It is expected that, in view of the responses entered by the participants in the instrument we are evaluating (quality of life questionnaire related to symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease), typical symptoms (heartburn and regurgitation) and atypical symptoms such as coughing, coughing, choking, difficulty respiratory, insomnia, chest pain and discomfort, hoarseness, stress, feeling of a full stomach can negatively interfere in the quality of life of individuals with such symptoms.
