Age
18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing varicose vein surgery of the lower limbs at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Federal University of Pernambuco; both sexes; age from 18 to 100 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who are not in a clinical condition for surgery; patients who do not return on the scheduled reassessment date

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Assess surgical wound healing on day 5 post-operatively using the Southampton Wound Assessment Scale

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assess the rate of dermatitis/infection, pain and itching during the 5 days of dressing use.
