Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: To evaluate, through a questionnaire, whether having prior knowledge about the use of silver diamine fluoride for the treatment of caries lesions in children influences caregivers' acceptability and perception of its application;Outcome found 1: Prior knowledge about silver diamine fluoride treatment, as well as its advantages and disadvantages, did not influence caregivers' acceptance and perception of this treatment

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Outcome found 2: Greater acceptance was observed among caregivers who received prior information about silver diamine fluoride when considering treatment on anterior teeth;Expected outcome 2: To investigate whether possible factors related to silver diamine fluoride treatment, such as caries lesion darkening, maintaining an open cavity without a restorative material, ease of application, low cost, and non-invasive, may influence caregivers' opinions
