Age
18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Be at least 18 years; Present good general health; Do not present active caries on the selected tooth; Do not stress periodontal disease on the selected tooth; To present restoration of silver amalgam with fractured tooth - case group and non-fractured - control group; Present the opposing and adjacent tooth; The teeth must have vital pulp

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Medical condition that may interfere with the safety of the volunteer during the study period, or allergic reactions to substances and / or products that will be used to restore fractured teeth; Use of removable prostheses which have the clamps resting on the teeth used for the research; Patients with intense parafunctional habits, determined by excessive tooth wear

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Fracture teeth with silver amalgam restoration, will be visually analyzed,tactile with a probe and will be molded in order to perform an analysis regarding the wear facets and the parameters will be evaluated by indexes and frequency of fractures

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Working cusps fractures, which will be evaluated visually and by photography, will have the parameters in percentage and frequency correlated with the presence of wear facet
