Interventions

Intervention group: 61 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, will receive a follow-up in 6 months, evaluating the level of pharmacological adherence and self-care with feet, through questionnaires.

Age
40 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Users with the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus; in use hypoglycemic agents; both genders; age greater than 40 years; who are registered in the position studying for at least 6 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diabetes mellitus type 1; gestational diabetes mellitus; patients in dialysis treatments; individuals residing in the open area.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improve glycemic levels, assessed by glycated hemoglobin (A1C) being below 7%. Data collected at 1 month of intervention and 6 months at end of intervention

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluate total cholesterol 40 mg / dl for men and 50 mg / dl for women; triglycerides <150 mg / dl. Data collected at 1 month of intervention and 6 months at end of intervention;Questionnaires to evaluate the level of adherence to pharmacological treatment and self-care with feet. Data collected at 1 month of intervention and 6 months at the end of intervention.
