Age
40 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Medical diagnosis of type 2 diabetes at least 12 mouths; 40 to 65 years; 25 to 35 kg/m² BMI; be sedentary or insufficiently active in IPAQ-vc (MATSUDO et al., 2001); regular drug hypoglycemic treatment; do not use insulin and anti-inflammatory drugs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Changes in drug hypoglycemic treatment; begin chronic use of anti-inflammatory drugs; injuries in muscles; bones and/or tendon; significant changes in nutritional behavior or physical activity; as well as miss 25% of training sessions.

Expected outcome: 5% of reduction in body fat percentage, measured by DXA (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry), after 12 weeks of aerobic training;Found outcome: reduction of 3% of body fat percentage in exercise and control group. Without statistical differeces

Expected outcome: improve of glicemic profile after 12 weeks of aerobic training, evaluated by fasting blood glucose (mg/dL), glycated hemoglobin (%) and insulin (UI/ml), analyzed in automatic analyzer, using specific kits ;Foud outcome: maintenance of glicemic profile without significative altetations compared to control group: fasting blood glucose: - 27 (mg/dL) glycated hemoglobin: + 0.01 (%) insulin: -0.02 (UI/ml);expected outcome: minor lipidic peroxidation, measured by blood levels of malondialdehyde (Umol/L), followed by greater total antioxidant capacity (%), at end of training program, in exercise group compared to control group.;found outcome: descriptive increase of lipidic peroxidation (2.45 to 2.85 Umol/L) and descriptive reduction os total antioxidant capacity (26.5 to 23.4%), after 12 weeks of intervention.
