Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Assess functional mobility using the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test. In this test, the subject needs to get up from the chair, without the help of the arms and walk at a comfortable and safe pace for a distance of three meters, turn around in a cone, return and sit down.;Assess Sedentary Behavior throught the motion sensor (accelerometer), from the Actigraph brand, MODEL GT3X, will be used, fixed by a strap in the thoracic region, and also the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 watch, on the wrist of the dominant upper limb. Participants will be instructed on use for 7 consecutive days, with withdrawal only for sleeping and bathing activities. Nursing home staff will also be aware of the guidelines for use, to assist in the supervision of the correct use.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assess performance in activities of daily living, using the Barthel Index will be used, which consists of a questionnaire that verifies functional independence in the following activities: eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder elimination, use of the toilet, chair-bed passage, ambulation and stairs.;Assess cognitive status using the Mini Mental State Examination tool, with the aim of tracking cognitive functions in the domains: temporal and spatial orientation, memory, attention and calculation, evocation and language. ;Assess physical activity level through the motion sensor and smartwatch, with the same application indicated to investigate sedentary behavior, distinguishing only the limits between physical activity and their respective levels and sedentary behavior. ;Evaluate health-related variables: blood pressure, anthropometry (body mass, height and waist circumference), medication use (how many and which medications were used during the 15 days prior to the interview), diagnosed diseases (how many and which ones), surgeries in the last year, hospitalizations in the last year, habits (in relation to smoking and alcohol consumption). ;Evaluate the training program through the questionnaire about satisfaction with the training received, which will consist of two questions: 1) Professional opinion on the training structure (hours, theme, materials, coach's attitude), with an objective answer through the Scale Likert from 0 (none) to 10 (a lot). 2) Application of knowledge acquired in the work context, with an objective response through the Likert Scale from 0 (none) to 10 (a lot).;Assess functionality by the Short Physical Performance Balance (SPPB) instrument, which consists of a battery of functional tests, which aims to assess physical capacity, such as balance, gait and strength. It is composed of the following subtests, gait speed, sitting and rising from a chair, static balance
