For the clinical trial, the sample will consist of 134 fathers randomly distributed in parallel into two groups: 67 in the intervention group (IG) and 67 in the control group (CG). The IG will receive
s Obstetric Center, and the eligibility criteria and the instrument to assess parents&apos
prior knowledge (pre-test) will be applied to both groups to establish a baseline. In phase 2, participants will be randomly assigned to IG and CG using randomizer.org, and the educational interventio
s group. However, neither the parents nor the researcher administering the intervention can be blinded, as this is an educational intervention.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Minimum age of 18 years; be a partner and the companion of the parturient's choice; first experience in accompanying labor; have completed at least the fourth year of elementary school; and be accompanying nulliparous pregnant women, with a live fetus, at term, with a medical diagnosis of labor or antepartum rupture of the ovular membranes or hypertensive or postpartum syndromes, for induction of labor and who have an indication for vaginal delivery regardless of the obstetric outcome, which may be vaginal or cesarean section
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Parturients in the expulsive stage; presenting a compromised physical or mental health condition that makes the research unfeasible; having participated in parenting and/or pregnancy courses; being a health professional; having the presence of doulas; parents with communication difficulties and stillbirth; giving up on continuing to participate in the study after the start of data collection; progressing to labor at the time of the approach; giving up or being unable to answer the proposed questions and stillbirth
