Interventions

The procedures performed on the 65 patients in this study were divided into three phases: - 1st phase: collection of the patients clinical data after hospital admission
- 2nd phase: scanning of tomographic images after obtaining multiplanar reconstructions and 3D reconstruction. Performing a CT scan is already part of the hospital's routine in caring for patients who

Eligibility

Age
1 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Suspected fractures of the middle third of the face requiring computed tomography for diagnostic purposes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients referred with CT already performed in another hospital and patients with a past history of facial fractures.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the reliability of computed tomography in the diagnosis of fractures of the middle third of the face, using accuracy, sensitivity and specificity, based on the finding of fractures identified during the operation.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Support information through the suggestion of tomographic protocols for the diagnosis of fractures of the middle third of the face, given the results found in the tests of statistical significance.
