Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with anterior cruciate ligament injury with surgical indication, with or without menisci injuries; Both genders

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of associated ligament injuries needing reconstruction; Patients with indication of associated procedures, such as osteotomies around the knee; Presence of associated fractures or other pathological conditions of the lower limbs

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluate the postoperative functional outcome of the anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions with the peroneus longus tendon graft, verified through the functional score of the "Lysholm Knee Scoring Scale", and compare it with the postoperative functional outcome of the anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions with the hamstring tendons graft after 2 years of follow-up.;Evaluate the postoperative functional outcome of the anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions with the peroneus longus tendon graft, verified through the functional score of the "International Knee Documentation Committee" (IKDC), and compare it with the postoperative functional outcome of the anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions with the hamstring tendons graft after 2 years of follow-up.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate morbidity at the donor site in cases of reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament with peroneus longus tendon graft, through the functional score "American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) Ankle-Hindfoot Scale", comparing the preoperative results with the results after 2 years of follow-up.;To assess morbidity at the donor site in cases of reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament with peroneus longus tendon graft, through weight-bearing CT scans of the foot and ankle, evaluating the following parameters: Meary's angle in the sagittal and axial planes; Distance from the proximal joint center of the 1st metatarsal (calculated by volumetric center point in the 3D reconstruction) to the ground, in millimeters; Angle of pronation/supination of the first metatarsal; Forefoot arch angle in the coronal plane; distance from the medial cuneiform to the ground in the coronal and sagittal planes; distance from the Navicular to the ground in the coronal and sagittal planes; Foot and Ankle Offset (FAO), and comparing preoperative results with results after 2 years of follow-up.
