Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women aged between 19 and 45 years, diagnosed with overweight / obesity (> 25 kg / m²) living in the Denisson Menezes, Maceió-AL, neighborhood or surroundings, who agreed to participate in the intervention protocol for 3 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women who have previously used anabolic androgenic steroids or psychotropic drugs; pregnant women; infants; Individuals who presented morbid processes that resulted in prolonged hospitalization; hypertensive; And who make use of insulin.

MeasureTime frame
Reduction of body weight. checking the weight loss during the intervention will be carried through the initial evaluation and final weight through BMI parameter (Body Mass Index). All anthropometric measurements will be obtained using the method described by Lohman et al. (1992) and will be taken in duplicate, recorded immediately after it is taken, using the average as the final value.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Change in serum. Serum will be analyzed for glucose measurements, insulin, total cholesterol (TC), HDL-cholesterol, triglycerides (TG), AST, ALT, GGT, leptin, adiponectin, IL-6, IL-1a, TNF-a, IL- 10 and the enzymes catalase, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) at the beginning and end of the intervention.
