Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who have undergone surgical treatment for tumors in the pineal region; patients who have undergone chemotherapy for tumors in the pineal region; patients who have undergone radiotherapy for tumors in the pineal region

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Current melatonin supplementation; diagnosis of eating disorders; use of appetite suppressants or other medications that chronically alter appetite

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate possible changes in the nutritional profile and food consumption due to changes in melatonin production in patients with pineal tumors, through nutritional assessment of the anthropometric profile, body composition, muscle strength and food consumption and comparison of the results with national and/or international reference values ??for age and sex, descriptively defining the adequacy or inadequacy of the parameters.

It is expected to find progressive variations in the nutritional profile and food consumption after melatonin replacement compared to the basal state, through anthropometric assessment, body composition, muscle strength and food consumption, comparing the results found with the respective national and international reference values ??for age and sex to evaluate the effects of melatonin on the progression of the adequacy or inadequacy of these parameters.
