Age
20 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients and staff registered at the Basic Health Unit of Parque São Bento, Sorocaba, São Paulo; both genders (male and female); aged between 20 and 59 years; diagnosed with overweight or obesity according to Body Mass Index classification; familiar with the use of mobile technologies such as WhatsApp on their smartphones; interested in the prevention and control of overweight and obesity through a healthy lifestyle

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals who chose not to participate in the project; lack of access or familiarity with mobile technology

Expected Outcome 1: A reduction of at least 5% in the initial weight of participants is anticipated through an educational intervention method using health technologies. This expectation is based on observing a minimum variation of 5% in weight measurements taken before and after the intervention ;Observed Outcome 1: It was found that 40.4% of the participants achieved a minimum weight loss of 5%, as verified by the anthropometric assessment method, between the pre- and post-intervention periods.
