Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Minimum of 18 months of experience in the sport; participation in at least one official competition of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee; ranking among the top 10 in their respective body weight categories

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteer with pain and/or injury; intolerance to electrostimulation; use of analgesics, tranquilizers, antidepressants or any centrally acting medication

MeasureTime frame
An improvement in dynamic strength and reduced neuromuscular fatigue were expected in the initial sets of the bench press, verified using a Speed4Lift linear encoder, during the training session preceded by electrostimulation. Data were collected before the intervention, immediately after the intervention, and 24 and 48 hours after the training session
