Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study includes obese; previously sedentary individuals; divided into two groups: one group that undergoes physical exercise for eight weeks (three times a week) and the other group that is not trained (control)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diabetics; those using statins; those who are seropositive for HIV, hepatitis C virus (HCV) or hepatitis B (HBV) and/or another systemic disease; those undergoing treatment for obesity; who have undergone bariatric surgery; participants in another regular health program are excluded; did exercises (such as, for example, aerobic and/or strength training) in the six months prior to the start of the experimental period; people with severe motor disabilities, musculoskeletal injuries, severe respiratory diseases, heart diseases (severe heart failure, cerebrovascular disease, severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction, acute myocardial infarction or initial phase of rehabilitation, untreated malignant arrhythmias, untreated severe hypertension, pulmonary hypertension severe), stroke or neurological disease, symptomatic cardiac malformations (such as septal defects, patent ductus arteriosus or valvular stenosis); volunteers who attend less than 80% of the training days; participants do not complete the training session on 3 consecutive days.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate possible changes in the NLRP3 inflammasome induced by high-intensity interval training. It is expected to find changes in the expression of the NLRP3 inflammasome after eight weeks of exercise, which will be verified by real time PCR.;To evaluate possible changes in the chemokine receptors CCR2, CCR5, CX3CR1 induced by high-intensity interval training. It is expected to find changes in the expression of chemokine receptors after eight weeks of exercise, which will be verified by Real Time PCR.;To evaluate possible changes in the concentrations of adipokines and cytokines induced by high-intensity interval training. It is expected to find changes in the levels of these adipokines and cytokines after eight weeks of exercise, which will be verified by ELISA.;To evaluate possible changes in the monocyte subtypes induced by high-intensity interval training. It is expected to find, after eight weeks of exercise, less recruitment of inflammatory monocytes (classical) evaluated by Flow Cytometry.
