Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women, aged 18 years or older; Body Mass Index (BMI) equal to or greater than 25; sedentary for at least three months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Use of medications or supplements for weight loss or hypertrophy, receive nutritional guidance and start using medications that could interfere with the results of the intervention

Expected outcome 1: Evaluate the effect of associating physical exercise with gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) supplementation on sleep parameters, mental disorders and cardiac autonomic control in women with obesity;Outcome found 1: It was observed that the association of regular physical exercise for 3 months associated with Gaba supplementation produced an improvement in habitual sleep efficiency and contributed positively to autonomic control (increased vagal response at rest and after physical effort) in women with obesity

Expected outcome 2: Evaluate the association of physical exercise and GABA supplementation on parameters involved in mental disorders: anxiety, depression and stress;Expected outcome 3: Evaluate the association of physical exercise and GABA supplementation on parameters involved in sleep quality: sleep latency, habitual sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, sleep duration, medication use, daytime dysfunction and sleep quality;Expected outcome 4: Evaluate the association of physical exercise and GABA supplementation on parameters involved in autonomic control through Heart Rate Variability;Outcome found 2: reductions in scores for all components of the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale were observed in both groups;Outcome found 3: It was observed that there was a significant difference in habitual sleep efficiency at the end of the experiment, this result was measured by the effect size of the classification biserial correlation. This indicates a difference between the groups, which were previously equal and now shows that the Placebo group became a group with lower habitual sleep efficiency, while the GABA group managed to maintain the same sleep efficiency which was already established before the start of the study;Outcome found 4: A reduction in the activation of the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) was observed from 81.3 n.u to 76.4 n.u in relation to Placebo where there was an increase in the same parameter: from 76.7 n.u to 78.8 n.u ( p: 0.031)
