Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 60 years or older; sedentary; with the ability to move independently; lack of medical contraindications for physical exercise; ability to understand instructions and active participation in tasks, considering the scores of the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) corresponding to their schooling; visual acuity confirming through the Snellen Signal Scale; hearing acuity verified through the whisper test

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with neurological diseases; orthopedic, rheumatic and or vascular pathology, with moderate or severe functional restriction in one or both lower limbs;history of fracture in the last year; hypertension and or uncontrolled heart disease; limiting visual and or auditory compromises for the execution of the protocol; amputee, prosthesis and lower limb orthosis users

Improvement in functional mobility assessed by the Timed Up and Go and Timed Up and Go Assessment of Biomechanical Strategies. The Timed Up and Go (TUG) test consists of getting up from the chair, without the aid of arms, walking at a distance of three meters, circumventing an obstacle and returning to the starting position at full speed, but without evolving into a run. At the beginning of the test, the patient must have his back resting on the back of the chair and, at the end, he must touch it again. The Timed Up and Go Assessment of Biomechanical Strategies test. assessment instrument to complement the TUG test to qualitatively and quantitatively assess the individual in four moments: the transfer from sitting to standing, walking, turning / changing direction of walking and the transfer from standing to sitting. Improvement in the spatio-temporal parameters of gait assessed by the 10-meter walk test (TC10m), which is an instrument for kinematic analysis of gait that aims to evaluate the spatial and temporal components of gait. The test is performed on a 10m straight line, where the patient will be instructed to walk at a comfortable pace and thus the time, number of steps, step size and stride can be measured. Data collected one week before and one week after the intervention;Reducing the risk of falls assessed by the Anterior Functional Reach Test (TAF) is used to identify the risk of falling. For its realization, a tape measure is attached to the wall, parallel to the floor, and positioned at the height of the patient's acromion with arms extended and shoulder with 90º flexion, the patient leans forward without touching the tape and, then, the displacement over it must be checked. Data collected one week before and one week after the intervention;Improvement in activities and participation that influence functionality through the Activity and Participation Profile (PAP) test, which is a questionnaire that dynamically evaluates 23 activities / participation performed daily by elderly people extracted from Chapter 4 of the CIF, regarding mobility.
