Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age 18 or over; Patients for whom it is possible to carry out the initial assessment within the first 24 hours of admission to the ICU; Patients for whom it is possible to reassess the oral condition every 48 hours; Patients for whom the ICU stay is longer than 48 hours; Patients of both genders
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Traumas or fractures to the face or oral cavity that make clinical examinations and application of oral care protocols impossible; Management restrictions requested by the medical team
