Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Men between 18-35 years old; physically active; verified by the international physical activity questionnaire (IPAQ)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Lower limbs post-operative history in the last 12 months; unconsolidated fractures in the lower limbs; respiratory or cardiovascular diseases considered to be risky or limiting factor for the strength test; lower limb and/or lower back pain during the tests and difficulty performing the requested procedures

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Femoral quadriceps strength, after application of myofascial release, obtained by isokinetic dynamometer. The variable of interest is the peak torque

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Application times of the myofascial release. It is expected that the myofascial release applied for 5 minutes will have more effect on femoral quadriceps muscle strength when compared to the 3 minute application time and placebo group. The variables of interest are peak torque, total work and power, also obtained through the isokinetic dynamometer
