Eligibility
Age
50 Years to 85 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Individuals undergoing elective cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass; both sexes; age over 50 years; accept to participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Individuals who have undergone previous cardiac surgery; neuromuscular disease; pneumopathy; previous pneumectomy; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; obese individuals; hemodynamic instability
