Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The sample will consist of male and female runners; aged between 18 and 35 years; who are apparently healthy; physically independent; asymptomatic; normotensive; non-obese (body mass index lower than 30 kilograms per square meter and body fat percentage lower than 20%); non-users of tobacco or alcohol; moderately active (engaging in at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week, preferably running); and regularly participating in running programs

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteers who self-report the following conditions will be excluded: cardiovascular diseases; metabolic disorders; sleep disturbances; musculoskeletal injuries or any neuromuscular disorders affecting the lower limbs that would impair participation; use of dermatological medications (for example, creams, ointments, and lotions); antipyretics or diuretics and/or use of ergogenic substances (for example, anabolic-androgenic steroids) within the six months prior to the study. Due to the potential influence of subcutaneous fat on the signals obtained through near-infrared spectroscopy, individuals with skinfold thickness greater than 20 millimeters in the regions of interest will also be excluded from the sample
