Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Healthy individuals; aged 19 to 40 years; with nutritional diagnosis of eutrophy and / or overweight (BMI = 19.0-24.99 Kg / m2 and 25 to 29.9 Kg / m2). Do not have a history of cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, hepatic or renal dysfunction; not be an alcoholic (daily alcohol consumption); not be diabetic; not have any type of infection; not using vitamin and mineral supplements, in addition to antibiotics, antacids or medication for diarrhea or constipation; not be a smoker; not having an aversion to orange juice; women volunteer cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing hormone replacement therapy for menopause.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Present a history of cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, hepatic or renal dysfunction; being an alcoholic (daily alcohol consumption); being diabetic; presenting any type of infection; be using vitamin and mineral supplements, in addition to antibiotics, antacids or medications for diarrhea or constipation; being a smoker; aversion to orange juice; pregnant women, lactating women or menopausal hormone replacement therapy.

| An improvement on biochemical blood parameters was expected after orange juice consumption, analysed by classical biochemical analysis. The individuals responded differently to the consumption of orange juice. After 60 days of ingestion of orange juice, a reduction in the percentage of body fat was observed, and through biochemical tests, a reduction in liver enzymes glutamic oxalacetic transaminase (TGO) and glutamic piruvic transaminase (TGP) and triglycerides was observed.
