18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Current diagnosis of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD); The OCD must be the most severe disorder; Be in regular treatment with a psychiatrist at the clinic and on stabilized medication for at least one month and willing to remain on a fixed dose during study participation (unless advised by a physician of necessary change); 18 years old; Ability to read and complete questionnaires; Minimum score of 4 on the Clinical Global Impression (CGI).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, mental retardation, recent history of alcohol or other substance abuse or dependence, severe personality disorder (as assessed by the attending physician); Severe organic medical disorder; Significant current or recent suicide risk; Any concomitant psychotherapy

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The expectation is to find a reduction in OCD symptoms following the intervention of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy combined with Exposure and Response Prevention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The expectation is an increase in psychological flexibility and improvement in the quality of life for patients with OCD.
