Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Ad libitum energy intake at lunch will be assessed using the plate waste method. Energy intake will be observed and expressed in kilocalories | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Subjective measures of appetite are expected to be assessed using the Visual Analog Scale in digital format, applied across 7 dimensions: hunger, fullness, desire to eat, ability to eat, pleasure, and familiarity. Scores ranging from 0 to 100 will be observed, expressed as area under the curve, collected before the standard breakfast following a 12-hour fast and at 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, and 240 minutes after its completion, as well as immediately after finishing the ad libitum lunch for the pleasure and familiarity dimensions;Eating rate is expected to be assessed through real-time monitoring of the consumption of the meal provided, using a camera and a manual counter (WESTERN® - CNE-01, China), conducted by two trained, independent researchers. Grams consumed per minute, milliliters consumed per minute, and calories consumed per minute for both solid and liquid foods, as well as the number of bites/spoonfuls and chews will be observed. These parameters will be calculated from the period between the first bite and the last swallow, using the average between the two researchers, provided the difference between their counts does not exceed 2.5% | — |
