This is a quasi-experimental, before-and-after study, where the experimental group will serve as its own control. It will be conducted with 50 undergraduate nursing students from the Federal Universit

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Nursing students; age 18 or older, enrolled in the Nursing Undergraduate Course and enrolled in the fifth to ninth period

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Nursing students who do not complete one of the clinical simulation stages and those with special needs that prevent them from carrying out the proposed clinical simulation strategy will be excluded

Primary

MeasureTime frame
A statistically significant increase in cognitive abilities is expected after the clinical simulation intervention on the management of cardiopulmonary arrest in pregnant women, to be measured immediately after the intervention and after one, three, and six months, using a validated multiple-choice questionnaire containing 15 objective questions

Secondary

It is expected that there will be a 60% accuracy rate in the execution of practical (procedural) and attitudinal (feelings/behaviors) performance activities during the clinical simulation, to be measured during the scenario execution phase, in which students will be evaluated using a checklist based on an objective and structured clinical examination style that has been validated by a panel of experts;It is expected that there will be a positive evaluation in more than 60% regarding the measurement of the student's perception of their own ability and the teaching method, after the completion of the scenario and the debriefing, to be measured using the Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale (Portuguese version), composed of 13 items of the 5-point Likert scale
