Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Interventions

Experimental study, single group, open blinding, single arm. It is planned to form a convenient and pragmatic sample of 40 people with type 2 diabetes, users of the outpatient service. Participants wi

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: adults over the age of 18 with a medical diagnosis of type 2 diabetes who have not received a structured diabetes education for at least one year; with access to digital communication platforms and digital proficiency

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: pregnant women; people with cognitive or functional limitations that make difficult to make lifestyle modifications (eg, with severe depression, kidney failure, diabetic retinopathy, and neuropathy)

After applying the intervention, a consensus of 80% of the participants is expected regarding acceptability, verified on a 10-point semantic differential scale, in relation to the following criteria: general appreciation, amount of perceived effort, compliance with ethical principles and values , understanding of how the intervention works, perceived effectiveness and self-efficacy;After applying the intervention, a consensus of 80% of the participants is expected regarding the feasibility, verified on a 10-point semantic differential scale, in relation to the following criteria: complexity, time spent, costs and risks involved, and effectiveness;A participation rate of at least 70% is expected, obtained by the ratio of the number of people with type 2 diabetes who agreed to participate among the people recruited

A study adherence rate of at least 70% is expected, obtained by the ratio between participants who attended all interactive sessions, in relation to those who agreed to participate in the study;A data collection feasibility rate of at least 95% is expected, obtained by the ratio between the number of participants who completed the applied questionnaires, among those who participated in all interactive sessions
