OBSERVED OUTCOMES Increased adherence to self-care activities with diabetes, verified by the application of the self-care activities with diabetes scale before and after the intervention, based on the fact that adherence was 54% higher in the experimental group in the pre and post intervention measurements. Increased frequency of self-care activities related to feeding in general, verified by the application of self-care activities with diabetes scale before the beginning of the intervention and after the intervention, 39% higher in the Experimental Group compared to the Control Group, which also happens with the specific dimensions the activities related to food, at a rate of 26%. Increased adherence to activities related to foot care, verified by applying the self-care activities with diabetes scale before and after the intervention, is 25% higher in the Experimental Group compared to the Control Group. The metabolic control, verified by the analytical determination of the values of glycated hemoglobin before and after the intervention, had a 30% improvement in the participants of the Experimental Group compared to those of the Control Group. The Body Mass Index, verified by determining the relationship between weight and height before and after the intervention, presents a 10% improvement in the participants of the Experimental Group compared to those of the Control Group. Adherence to physical activity, verified by the application of the self-care activities with diabetes scale before and after the intervention, had a statistically significant mean increase only in the Experimental Group, from an average of 1.24 ± 1.39 days/week to 1.66 ± 1.39 days/week [t (63) =-3.09, p <.05]. Adherence to the determination of capillary glycemia, verified by the application of the self-care activities with diabetes scale before and after the intervention, registered a statistically significant increase only in the subjects of the Experimental Group, passing from an average exec
