Experimental multicomponent training group: 17 older adults of both sexes underwent aerobic, strength, balance and agility training for 12 weeks, with 3 sessions per week lasting one hour per session.

Age
60 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Older adults; both genders; able to perform standardized exercises; present a medical certificate proving that they are clinically able to perform physical exercises; accept to participate voluntarily by signing a free and informed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Older adults who participated in less than 70% of sessions; older adults who had some type of injury severe in the last six months prior to the study, which prevented them from performing all scheduled exercises and assessments

MeasureTime frame
Gait parameters by three-dimensional analysis evaluated before and after 3 months of training. ;Maximum voluntary isometric contraction by the load cell test evaluated before and after 3 months of training.

Dynamic balance analysed by the Voluntary Step Execution Test evaluated before and after 3 months of training.;Functional capacity analysed by a functional testing battery evaluated before and after 3 months of training.
