Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Volunteers with a medical diagnosis of rhizarthrosis; without cognitive impairment, taking into account a normal score on the Mini-Mental State Examination for the respective level of education.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Uncontrolled diabetes; neurological and/or musculoskeletal disorders that may affect upper limb function; fracture or previous surgical intervention on the wrist or fingers; the presence of any other rheumatologic disease; TMC joint infiltration within the last six months.

| Check if there was an improvement in pain using the Visual Analogue Scale with a change of at least three points;Check if there was an increase in the grip and/or pinch strength by means of the hydraulic dynamometer, whose values ??are expressed in Kgf;Check if there was an improvement in the function of the hand through the execution of the Bilateral Upper Limb Function Test (TEBIM), observing if the execution time of the tasks decreased and if the performance improved;Check if there was an improvement in the aspect of social participation through the application of the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM), observing if there was an improvement in the questionnaire score;Check if there was an improvement in the activity aspect through the application of the Australian / Canadian Hand Osteoarthritis Index (AUSCAN) and Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (DASH) questionnaires, observing if the total questionnaire score decreased;Check for an improvement in manual dexterity through the nine-hole peg test, observing if the time to perform the test has decreased;Verify if there was a change in the magnitude of muscle activation of the long abductor and short extensor thumbs, short abductor thumbs and 1st dorsal interosseous muscles using surface electromyography | — |
